Edward Gasaway

Edward Gasaway, age 57, Phil Campbell, passed away July 11 at his residence.

 

Edward was a 1977 graduate of Phil Campbell High School.  He attended church at Blue Springs Freewill Baptist Church.  He loved hunting for turkey and deer and loved to fish.  He was a loving husband, great father and a wonderful Papa to Kylee, who was the light of his life.

 

The visitation will be 6-8 p.m.  July 13 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. July 14 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. John McCullar officiating.  Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery in Phil Campbell.

 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 37 years, Theresa Baker Gasaway; daughters, Danielle Gasaway, Shannon Gasaway Santiago and husband, Pablo; granddaughter, Kylee Rae Santiago; mother & father-in-law, Bobby & Faye Baker; brother & sister-in-law, Greg & Jennifer Baker; and several nieces & nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Gasaway, Jr; mother, Lavis Stehno Gasaway, brother, Kenneth Gasaway; and sister, Rhonda Gasaway.

 

The pallbearers will be Colby Abston, Tim Stehno, Joey Masterson, Larry Emerson, Greg Baker, Randy Renford, Gary Vess, and Donnie Jones.  The honorary pallbearers will be Dwight Shelnutt, Sylvester Scott, and Floyd Fennel.

 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the East Franklin and Blue Springs Fire Departments for your love and care shown to the family.
