Vina bounces back big over Brilliant

The Red Devils got their first win of the season over Brilliant, winning 52-16.

Both teams would be looking to earn their first wins of the season after starting the season off on the wrong foot. Vina lost to Mars Hill Bible 22-6, and Brilliant lost to Lynn 66-0.
Vina achieved that first win of the season Friday, bouncing back and beating Brilliant 52-16 in an offensive show from the Red Devils after soaking up last week’s loss.
“The boys played great. It’s great to get the first win of the season,” Head Coach Luke Childers said. “We had a well-rounded game. The offensive and defensive line really set the tone for the game.”
Childres added, “We’ve always been a running first team, but Tyler threw some good passes, and the receivers made some great catches. We’re gonna try and carry that momentum into next week’s region game.”
