Johnye Ruth Cochran

Johnye Ruth Cochran, age 84, of Russellville, went home to be with her Lord Dec. 11 at ECM hospital.

Mrs. Cochran was a faithful and devout Christian lady and member of Divine Baptist Church. She was a giving and forgiving woman, who lived her life to the fullest and was sharp as a tack. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who leaves such a legacy of love for her family.

The visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Dec. 12 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 13 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Caley Farris officiating. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 61 years, W.L. Cochran; parents, Albert and Annie (Grissom) Duke; and sisters, Carrie Mansell, Irene George and Eva Duke.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Fred Cochran and wife Doris, Terry Cochran and wife Barbara and Myra Taylor and husband Wade. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Cody Taylor and wife Tiffany, Katie Taylor and fiancé Cody, Chad Cochran, Taron Cochran, Brandi Marsh, Adam Carr and Jason Carr; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be the men from Divine Baptist Church.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and management of Columbia Cottage Assisted Living and to the staff of ECM for your love and care of our mother.
