Edith “Fern” Plylar

Fern Plylar of Russellville passed away Dec. 11 at her residence at the age of 86 after a lengthy illness.

She lived all of her life in Russellville and was a member of Isbell Methodist Church. She retired from the Drug Shop.

Visitation will be Dec. 13 from noon until 1 p.m. Services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Cole.

Burial will follow at Allen McRight Cemetery, Russellville.

She is survived by her son Thomas E. Plylar and wife Margie as well as one grandchild, one great-grandchild and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ruth Bolton and Doris Lane; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Plylar was preceded in death by her husband, Travis E. Plylar; parents, Orda and Mable Allen Porter; three brothers, Allen, Otis and Donnie Porter; an infant sister; and a granddaughter, Jamie Beth Plylar.
