Bernell Townsend Hall
Bernell Townsend Hall, age 94, Phil Campbell, passed away Jan. 12 at Cypress Cove in Muscle Shoals.
Mrs. Hall graduated from Vina High School in 1943. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Phil Campbell and was a classy, independent and hardworking lady. If you knew her, you loved her, and she loved you.
The visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Jan. 14 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 15 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Darryl Whitehead officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McKenney Hall Sr.; parents, William Jefferson and Flora (Humphries) Townsend; and siblings, Opal Klatt, Everett Townsend, Gene Townsend and infant sister.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Robert M. Hall Jr. and wife Sheila and William Joel Hall and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Vicki Marie McCurry and husband Jeff, Robert M. “Ken” Hall, III, and wife Diane, Lynn Hall, Jennifer Wharton and husband Compton and Connie Isbell and husband Shane; great-grandchildren, Alicia Knight and husband David, Hunter McCurry, Titus Hall, Marcella Hall, Luke Wharton, Adam Wharton and Cameron, Cross and Christopher Isbell; brother, Raymond Townsend; sisters, Vange Hughes and Margaret Fikes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be Michael Fikes, Daniel Morgan, Hunter McCurry, David Knight, Allen Townsend and Ken Hall.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Cypress Cove Center in Muscle Shoals and their staff for their care and assistance during Mom’s time of need. Also a special thanks to the staff of Country Cottage in Russellville for their care of mom in assisted living for the last couple of years.
