Michael Dean “Mike” Braden

Michael Dean “Mike” Braden, 61, passed away Jan. 10 at his residence. He was born in Haleyville and was director of purchasing with Southern Energy. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Belmont, Miss.

Services were Jan. 12 at 3:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Belmont, Miss., with Bro. Ray Burks, Jerry McAnally, David Conley and Bro. Jack Maroon officiating. Burial was in Lindsey Cemetery, Dennis, Miss.

Survivors are his wife, Missy Braden, Belmont, Miss.; two brothers, Sonny Braden and wife Jean and Jerry Braden and wife Carolyn; one sister, Pat Braden; nieces and nephews, Cary Raper and husband Tim, Ben Braden and wife Juliane, Leon Cantrell, Jeff Blair, Randy Braden and wife Adelia, Jenny Sue Turner, Jan Wilson, Jeff Braden, Micah Farris and wife Jennifer and Meagan Vickery and husband Heath; and a host of other friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Winford Braden and Eva Mae Green Braden; a brother, James and Jeanette Braden; and a sister, Ann and Davis Cantrell.

Pallbearers were Thomas Thompson, Mike Madden, Greg Pharr, Randall Dodd, Robert Cashion, Jim Bauer and Britt Richards.

Visitation was Jan. 11 from 6-9 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Belmont, Miss.
