Wanda Dianne Wade
Wanda Dianne Wade, 62, of Russellville, passed away Feb. 4 at 11:11 a.m. at Russellville Hospital.
Mrs. Wade, formerly Wanda D. Swann, lived most of her life in Haleyville before moving to Russellville. She was a member of Duncan Creek Baptist Church, Russellville, where she was very involved in the children’s programs there. Having loved children very much, she often entertained as BoBo the Clown and taught children in both Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was also a Wilton Master Craftsman Cake Decorator.
Visitation for Wanda Dianne Wade will be Feb. 9 from 5-7 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville. The memorial service will be Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. in chapel of the funeral home.
Inurnment will follow at Duncan Creek Cemetery. Officiating will be Tom Woods, Kent Walker, and John Thorne.
Mrs. Wade is survived by a loving family that includes her husband Larry of Russellville and her mother Ella Mae Swann of Haleyville. Together, Wanda and Larry had four children: Tawnya Parker and husband Keith, Jennifer Beasley, Michael Wade, Angela Wade and former daughter-in-law Ginger. A sister, Sandy Nichols and husband Jeff Robinson, and a brother, Wayne Swann, also survive her. She was grandmother to 11 grandchildren: Cortney Berry and husband John, Sarah Dawson and husband Roderick, Mason Dooley, Hailey Parker, Brandon Parker, Caleb Wade and wife Katherine, Sadie Wade, Justin Esquivel, Braden Esquivel, Avery Clark and Jaylen Warren. Great-grandchildren include Hayden, Adrian and Emily Berry and Lilly Wade. She was aunt to Jonathan and Joshua Beck and Cassie Nichols and great aunt to Haley and Kelsey Beck.
Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by her father, Johnny D. Swann.
An organ donor, Wanda D. Wade, in death, gave sight to two people through her generous cornea donation. A beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and great aunt, she will be greatly missed as will her generous and loving spirit. She loved people, and that love was certainly mutual.
