A word to Franklin County graduates
by Greg Hamilton / Franklin County Schools
Dear Class of 2018:
I want to congratulate you on your significant accomplishment. As you prepare to move on to the next phase of life, I hope the hard work and dedication you have exhibited has prepared you for life after high school.
Regardless of where your path takes you, I want you to know that I am proud of the lasting impact you will leave behind as the Class of 2018. You are part of the heartbeat of your community.
Commencement is the beginning of your life’s journey. Every door in life is open for you.
Whether you decide to join the armed forces or the workforce or attend college, I challenge you to be the best you can be. Make a positive impact in the lives of those around you. Be that beacon of light that makes a difference to others; life offers no greater reward.
Franklin County will always be your home. I encourage you to stay involved with your school. You, in some way, will always be building the foundation for the future of your community. Your legacy will never be forgotten.
I wish you the very best success in your lives. I’ll close with a few words from an unknown author: “Behind you, all your memories; before you, all your dreams; around you, all who love you; within you, all you need.”
