Russellville Academy of Performing Arts hosts spring recital

The Russellville Academy of Performing Arts put on a spring recital, “Our Favorites,” May 27 at the A.W. Todd Centre. Girls and boys of all ages took to the stage and delivered performances of all kinds, ranging from dance to vocals to piano.

Piano solos were performed by Lakin Derrick, Dalton Stults, Valeria Ramos, Kennley Francisco and Katie Smith.

Kyla Francisco, Eli Mouser and Austin Boyd played guitar solos. Olivia Rice and Lakin Derrick performed vocal solos.

Dance numbers were performed by the two- and three-year-old ballet dancers, Macy Akers, Abby Davis, the advanced dance team, Abby Davis with Ellen McGee, MK Hester, Hannah James, Diamond Burcham, McKenzie Scott and Ellen McGee.

The gymnastics students also showed off the skills they have been working on as they tumbled and flipped across the stage.

This show was just one of the three recitals RAPA puts on throughout the year. Practices will resume in June.
