NW-SCC names scholarship winners

The following students are among Northwest-Shoals Community College scholarship winners.

  • Carly Weeks, of Russellville, received a College Bowl A graduate of Phil Campbell High School, Weeks will also serve as an NW-SCC ambassador. While at NW-SCC, Weeks will pursue a degree in medicine. She is the daughter of Eric and Jill Weeks.
  • John David Aycock, of Russellville, received the Joshua Green Memorial Scholarship. A graduate of Russellville High School, Aycock was a member of National Honor Society, varsity football, FFA, FBLA and Christian Students United. While at NW-SCC, Aycock will pursue an associate in science degree. He is the son of John and Tammie Aycock.
  • Kayla Danielle Creasy, of Florence, received a Follett A graduate of Tharptown High School, Creasy was a member of the basketball team, track team, SADD, FBLA and Spanish Club. While at NW-SCC, Creasy will pursue a degree in medical assisting technology. She is the daughter of Myra Lane and Steve Creasy.
  • Joseph Hardy, of Phil Campbell, received the Shelby Grissom Memorial Scholarship. A graduate of Phil Campbell High School, Hardy was a member of the basketball team, National Honor Society, SADD, FBLA and History Club. While at NW-SCC, Hardy will pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. He is the son of Danny and Miranda Hardy.
  • Colton Shea Madden, of Russellville, received the Bill Lucas Memorial Scholarship. A graduate of Russellville High School, Madden was a member of the National Honor Society, baseball team, FBLA, Christian Students United and Spanish Club. While at NW-SCC, he will pursue a degree in business. Madden is the son of Shea and Angelique Madden.
  • Jennifer Francis Reed, of Phil Campbell, received the Faculty and Staff Scholarship. Reed is the NW-SCC Student Government secretary and a Phi Kappa Theta Officer. A 2017 graduate of Phil Campbell High School, she was a member of the National Honor Society and educational talent search. While at NW-SCC, Reed will pursue a degree in public relations. She is the daughter of Wendy Reed Wood and Garry Reed.
