Commission approves bid
July 9 the Franklin County Commission held a special-called meeting at 4:30 p.m. before its regularly-scheduled work session at 5 p.m.
The special-called meeting was held to address the bids on the Oak Hills subdivision project.
Eady Contracting was approved by the commission for the project, which includes the replacement of driveway pipes, installation of concrete flumes and repavement of the road.
Eady’s bid at $604,419.40 was the lowest out of five that were submitted. Franklin County will provide matching funds of $137,448.90, some of which will be through in-kind work.
According to a representative from Civil Group, the project is estimated to take about five months.
