Steve Vaughn Williams

Steve Vaughn Williams, age 71, passed away July 18 at ECM Hospital.

Steve was born April 24, 1947. He worked at Wrangler in Hackleburg and at Waverlee Homes in Hamilton. He was a member of Chigger Hill Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water. Above all, he was a devoted husband and dad who loved his family more than anything.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. July 22 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville, with the funeral following at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Bro. George Hutto will officiate the service. Burial will be at Old Line Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 41 years, Jill Williams; daughters, Leigha Morgan (husband, Jerrod) and Tina Swinney (husband, Ryan); grandchildren, Chase Swinney, Abby Swinney and Jake Morgan; sister Sherry Manning (husband, Jimmy); nieces Kym Raper (husband, Don) and Nicole Bacallao (husband, Daniel); great-niece Jessica Marie Edwards; great-nephew Caleb Bacallao; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Marie Williams, and grandmother, Dovie Frederick.

The pallbearers will be Jerrod Morgan, Ryan Swinney, Chase Swinney, Don Raper, LV Fleming, Mack Gann and Larry Upton.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Terrace Manor Nursing Home; Davita Dialysis Center; the ICU and Palliative Care Units of ECM Hospital; and Alacare Hospice.
