July 27 the Russellville Police Department placed Charlie Hankins in custody after a minor setback.

According to RPD Lt. Jake Tompkins, Hankins was arrested by a neighboring agency for outstanding warrants for failure to appear and pay with RPD. Hankins was transported to RPD by the neighboring agency, but once he arrived, he ran from officers.

RPD officers located Hankins several blocks from the RPD station downtown and took him back into custody.

Hankins was charged with his outstanding warrants plus an additional charge of escape third degree.

He was placed in the Russellville City Jail.
