Andrew Massey is the Franklin County Breed Grand Champion and the Northwest Alabama 4-H Chick Chain Show Supreme Breed Champion.

Franklin County students win big at Chick Chain

Franklin County had a successful day at the North Alabama State Fair with Chick Chain.

“We had a great show. Everyone did a great job,” said 4-H agent Janet Lovelady.

Andrew Massey, Red Bay seventh-grader, was the Franklin County Breed Grand Champion and the Northwest Alabama 4-H Chick Chain Show Supreme Breed Champion. He was also second place in his Showmanship class.

Maddie Pearson, Red Bay eighth-grader, was first place for Franklin County Showmanship, which put her in the overall Showmanship championship class, where she came in third.

Jacob Landers, East Franklin fifth-grader, was Franklin County Breed Reserve Champion.

Also showing were Kade LeMay, Belgreen sixth-grader, who won third place showmanship, and Bo LeMay, Belgreen eighth-grader, who won fourth-place showmanship.
