Sibley Oil celebrates century in business
Sibley Oil Company has been in operation in Franklin County and the surrounding areas for 100 years. The company recently celebrated this milestone with an anniversary dinner at Doe’s Eat Place in downtown Russellville.
“Franklin County has been good to us,” said Michelle Sibley, whose husband Jim Sibley is the current owner. He took it over from his mother Betty in 2001. David Sibley, Jim’s father, had owned the company since 1976, when he took over for his father, Neal Sibley.
“We want to thank the people of Franklin County for their business all these years,” Michelle added.
Sibley Oil has six locations in Franklin County and the surrounding areas, including the Legacy Chevron on Highway 43.
