Audra Mae Posey Rice

Audra Mae Posey Rice joined her loving husband, Clyde Rice Sr., in the presence of the Lord April 25.  She was born in 1926 to Siant A. and Pearl Davis Posey. Born on the Franklin/Winston county line in the Pebble community, she spent most of her life between the two counties. Since 2012 she has lived at the Villages of Cook Springs in Moody to be near her oldest son.

She is survived by her brother Paul Posey (Betty), sons Clyde Jr. (Glynda) and Don (Joyce), granddaughter Stephanie Knight (Keith), great-granddaughter Emma Knight and fur-grandbabies Cooper and Hope.

In keeping with her wishes to “not be any trouble to anyone,” the family will hold a simple graveside service at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville April 30 at 1 p.m.

Her sons wish to express their deep gratitude to their Uncle Paul and Aunt Betty and the Village of Cook Springs for the years of wonderful care and support they provided after the death of their dad. Also, to Oasis Hospice of Moody, for the loving care and compassion they provided at the end of her 93-year journey on this side.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oasis Hospice of Moody or a charity of your choice.
