Homefolks U.S.A.

Hi folks,

It’s been a very busy day for me. I started my day at 4:00 this morning. Tried to stay busy today.

This past week has been a very good, busy week, and I am really thankful for that.

I had an opportunity to connect with friends from many years ago, Bill and Rita Perkins. For many years they lived in Russellville, and we had so many good times together. They now live in Davenport, Iowa, where they operate a very successful insurance business. We had a rather long discussion and looking forward this week to receive a call from Bill.

It’s so good to have friends, and I feel that God has really blessed me with so many great friends. For many years Bill and Rita had the radio station here in Russellville, and Bill was so helpful to me in doing radio advertisement for our business. I feel I owe him a deal of gratitude for every act of kindness that they send my way throughout the years.

We have a new member of the family, Miss Emma Rose – my daughter Jennifer’s new dog. She is vey pretty and adds a joy that we so much appreciate. I think my little buddy Katie is a little jealous, but that’s OK too – just shows how much she really loves me.

Pets are so important, and I really believe that every home needs a special pet. I have had a lot of dogs in my life, but I believe Katie ranks near the top of those that have really been a part of my life. Katie is 11 years old, and I noticed she is not as active as she once was, but that’s just part of life.

We just need to really enjoy every day that we are permitted to live on this earth.

I hope all the mothers enjoyed their day this past Sunday. It’s a special day for a special person. I am thankful our country recognizes mothers every year on Mother’s Day. Young mothers have much to look forward to, and old mothers have good memories of the years that have passed.

Thanks for reading our stories every week, and your kind remarks are always appreciated so much.

Got a story you would like for me to share? Just let me know, and I will do my best to share it with readers of Homefolks U.S.A.

Till next time,

Your friend,

Bobby
