Hilda L. Hill

Mrs. Hilda L. Hill, 87, of Phil Campbell passed away Sept. 8 at North Alabama Medical Center. Born in Lawrence County, she had lived in the Phil Campbell area most of her life.  

She was a cosmetologist and a member of First Baptist Church Phil Campbell, where she faithfully taught Sunday School for many years. 

Visitation with family and friends will be Sept. 11 from noon until 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be Jerome Sherrill and Terry Buster. Burial will be in Landersville Cemetery, Mt. Hope.

Mrs. Hill is survived by her children, Jerry Latham and Jan Sherrill (Alan Sherrill); grandchildren, Keith Latham (Diane), Malissa Greenawalt (Troy), Jarod Latham (Tabitha), Jacob Latham, Alana Swinney (Chris), David Sherrill (Holly), and Caleb Sherrill (Lexie); great-grandchildren, Erin, Garrett and Walker Latham, Madison, Zachery and Finley Greenawalt, Annie, Samuel and Owen Sherrill and Kaitlin, Noah, Lilly and Luke Latham; three great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Gordon Latham and Bobby Hill; parents, Wallace and Nannie Lee Smith Tubb; and siblings, Juanita Smith, Mary Caldwell, Margaret Kilgoar and Wallace Tubb Jr.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
