Q&A with Britton Kennamore, THS baseball senior

Q. How long have you played baseball?

A. Since I could walk.

Q. Was there anyone special in your life who helped you become a great player, and how?

A. Coming from a family of great ball players and Shannon Benford throwing every day during grade school.

Q. How do you get ready for a game?

A. Remind myself of how hard I’ve worked and how hard I want this next win.

Q. What do you like to do when you are not involved with baseball?

Hunt, fish and spend time with family and friends.

Q. What factors do you feel have influenced you the most to become the player and person you are today?

A. Be a role model for the youth and show them what you can make of life.

Q. Did you have any routines or superstitions before or in a game?

A. Tucking my shoestrings in my cleats became a big thing I started.

Q. What is your favorite baseball memory?

A. Coming back from an injury early and still dominating on the mound.

Q. What baseball player has influenced you most in the game? Why?

A. My teammates. They drive me to be better, and since I’m a senior, I want them to look up to me and try to be better.

Q. What is the greatest obstacle you have had to overcome in your playing career?

A. ACL and MCL tear

Q. What is life after being a baseball player for you?

A. The person who stares at fields remembering all the good times when I see one. Teaching younger kids and possibly a future child having fun in the game.

Q. What are your thoughts on your season and career coming to an abrupt end?

A. It’s sad but I’ve had plenty of smiles and memories on the field I wouldn’t trade for anything.
