FC citizens face coronavirus with optimism

As Franklin County – along with the state, nation and world – continues to practice isolation and social distancing in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, with even greater vigor as Gov. Kay Ivey imposes a stay-at-home order, people are turning to different avenues to deal with the new normal.

For many, positivity is key.

Russellville performing songwriter Will Stults, for example, encourages passersby with a sign declaring “We Shall Overcome” in front of his downtown Russellville home.

In a show of spirit, Eli, AnnaFaye, Aaliyah, Addi and Ariel Cothrum conduct a parade to their grandparents’ house to spread a little cheer from a safe distance.
