Homefolks U.S.A.

Hi folks,

It will be a wonderful day when the newscast reports good news – but that is really never going to happen because good news doesn’t sell, but bad news does. Let’s just make up our minds to have a good day regardless.

Most days are nice and warm, maybe even hot; flowers are blooming; fresh vegetables are beginning to arrive; and so many of our family and friends are doing really good.

That’s a lot to be thankful for.

We have all had to make a lot of adjustments in every phase of our lives. You go out to eat, and you might have to sit where you don’t like the view, but that’s OK; just give it a little time, and all the seats will be available again.

What about our church services? Many are experiencing a drive-in service; you might not be able to hear as well – and there are a lot of distractions, from birds singing, to the wind blowing – and there is no air conditioner, but that’s OK as well. God made the birds to sing, the wind to blow and the sun to warm the good earth.

When we get to go back inside, I am sure we can appreciate the beauty surrounding us that we have probably taken for granted for years.

I would really like to see a report on how many folks have recovered from the virus. It would probably be a real surprise.

Maybe we should all use a little more common sense and do things that we should have been doing all along.

Last week was a good week. I saw a lot of dear old customers from many years ago. A family from Hackleburg came by, and we had a very nice visit, and they made a nice purchase, as well.

Keep the faith. It’s going to be OK.

Remember: Wash hands and say a prayer – Jesus and germs are everywhere.

Till next time,

Your friend,

Bobby
