Annie Lee (Thomas) Winnett

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Lee (Thomas) Winnett, age 81, of Lamasco, will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 21 at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel, 219 W. Sam Rayburn Drive, Bonham, Texas 75418. Burial will follow in the Lamasco Cemetery.

Mrs. Winnett passed away Nov. 17 in Paris, Texas.

Mrs. Winnett was born March 15, 1939, in Russellville, the daughter of Charlie Thomas and Dora Loler Bell Brimer Thomas. She married John Franklin Winnett Dec. 10, 1960, in Garland, Texas, and he preceded her in death Nov. 1, 2010.

She was seamstress and homemaker and enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, canning, working, being outdoors and especially quilting and her animals all throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gladys Pearl Borden, Amie McKinney, Harless “Thomas” Thomas, O’Neal Thomas, Hershel Thomas, Kenneth Thomas and Mary Catherine Thomas.

Surviving are her son, John Franklin Winnett Jr. and wife Kim Leidy of Bonham, Texas; daughter, Joyce Faye Johnston and husband Eddie Ray of Paris, Texas; her special loving dog “Bear” and a special adopted son, Tim Scoggins and wife Kim of Achille, Oklahoma; sister Mildred Iller Spires of Russellville; grandchildren Jonathan Dale Dizmond (Erin), Joshua Allen Dizmond, Kristopher John Winnett and Amanda Jo Parker (Jeff); great-grandchildren Shannon Wade-Uribe (James), Ryan Wade, Tanner Shane Liles, Logan Elizabeth Liles, Jada Marie Dizmond, Levi Dale Dizmond, Addison Fortenberry, Joe Fortenberry, Derek and Jessica Parker; great-great-grandchildren Madelyn Parker and Donovan, Aaliyah and Jaxx Uribe; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family; and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Dizmond, Joshua Dizmond, Eddie Ray Johnston, Jeff Parker, Marvin McKinney and Tim Scoggins. Honorary pallbearers will be Kristopher Winnett and Sammy Hargett.
