Bobcat girls get decisive wins

Caitlynn Mills and Kenner Scott had a big week, leading the Phil Campbell Bobcats to easy wins.

Mills and Scott led the Bobcats in scoring in a 69-32 win over Haleyville and a 57-32 win over Danville.

The Danville win closed out an undefeated area run for the Bobcats for the second year in a row.

Phil Campbell jumped out to a 23-9 first quarter lead over Haleyville. The Bobcat girls extended the lead to 38-13 at halftime and led 58-24 at the end of the third quarter.

Mill led with 16 points, while Scott had 14 points. Madison Branch added nine points, Katie Thomas eight points and Faith Cook seven points. Olivia Taylor and Makayla Baker scored four points each. Trinity Thomas added two points.

In the Danville game, the Bobcats led the Eagles 22-13 at halftime but ran away with the game in third quarter, extending their lead to 40-19.

Mills led with 15 points while Scott added 12 points.
