This year’s area tournaments will look a lot different from years past because of coronavirus precautions. Game locations will vary from game to game, and higher seeds will host all area tournament games.

The opening rounds of the 2021 area tournaments are listed here. The finals will be later next week.

Ticket availability will be limited. Each school will have different capacity limits based on size sent in to the ASHAA. All tickets must be purchased on the GoFan app, and capacity limits will be strictly enforced.

AREA TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

Class 1A, Area 14

• Girls: Phillips at Belgreen, Feb. 8, 6 p.m.; Hackleburg at Vina, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m.
• Boys: Vina at Belgreen, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m.

Class 2A, Area 10

• Girls: Red Bay at Sulligent, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m.
• Boys: Lamar County at Red Bay, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m.

Class 2A, Area 14

• Girls: Tharptown at Tanner, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
• Boys: Tharptown at Hatton, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.

Class 3A, Area 15

• Girls: East Lawrence at Phil Campbell, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m.
• Boys: Phil Campbell at East Lawrence, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m.

Class 5A, Area 15

• Girls: Russellville at West Point, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m.
• Boys: Will host either Lawrence County or West Point Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. in finals
