RHS alum ranks in top five at Wallace tourney

The Calhoun Community College Lady Warhawks golfers – among them, Russellville High alum Morgan Moon – played in Wallace State Community College’s tournament April 5-6 at Cross Creek Golf Course in Cullman, and Calhoun finished in third place as a team out of five teams with a score of 701 – behind Jefferson State with 696 and Wallace State with 650.

Calhoun narrowly edged past Snead State, which scored 703.

In individual results, Moon finished in a tie for fifth with a day one score of 84 and a day two score of 83 for a 167 total.

The women, led by Coach Arin Eddy, will next play in the regional tournament hosted by Snead State Community College April 15-16. The tournament will be played at Eagle’s Nest Golf Course in Guntersville.
