City approves liquor license
The Russellville City Council held a special called meeting Aug. 30 at noon to consider a liquor license request for a downtown restaurant.
The city conducted a public hearing to solicit citizen input concerning the license application for restaurant retail liquor received from Steak Ops Russ LLC – doing business as Doe’s Eat Place, 114 N. Jackson Ave. in Russellville.
No one spoke against the request.
The council unanimously voted to authorize the resolution approving the issuance of an alcohol license for restaurant retail liquor for Doe’s.
When Doe’s Eat Place reopens, it will be under new ownership. “We just bought an existing restaurant,” said one of the owners, Charlie Burchell. “We’re happy to be in Russellville, and everyone has been very supportive.”
“We’re doing great so far with one of our organizations, 306 Barbeque, that opened in Russellville recently,” added Glenn Hoffman, vice president of operations. “We’re happy to be a part of the city, and we look forward to opening soon, sometime within the next three weeks.”
