Phil Campbell hosts first-ever volleyball event

The Phil Campbell Bobcats hosted their first-ever volleyball event this past week. Despite losing to Clements and East Lawrence, Coach Amy Moss said she was pleased with the show of support from the school and the community.

“Our girls are getting so close,” said Moss. “They fed off the energy and support of the crowd. We appreciated the support of the community so much, and we had great support from our students as well.”

The Phil Campbell girls led Clements in the first set but let it get away from them before losing the last set and two straight to East Lawrence.

“We keep making progress,” said Moss. “We just have to stay confident and keep working hard, and good things will happen.”
