There will be plenty of diamond action at Tharptown this weekend. Tharptown High School will host the Franklin County Tournament for varsity softball and junior high/varsity baseball.

JUNIOR HIGH BASEBALL
The junior high baseball tournament will be held April 8. Here is the full schedule:
• 10 a.m. – Vina versus Phil Campbell
• Noon – Red Bay versus East Franklin
• 2 p.m. – Vina or PC versus Tharptown
• 4 p.m. – Finals

VARSITY BASEBALL
The varsity baseball tournament will be April 9. Here is the full schedule:
• 10 a.m. – Tharptown versus Red Bay
• 12:30 p.m. – Belgreen versus Phil Campbell
• 3 p.m. – Tharptown or Red Bay versus Vina
• 5:30 p.m. – Finals

The junior high softball tournament was held two weeks ago, and Phil Campbell played five straight games to claim the championship.
