Charles Edward Hardin

Charles Edward Hardin, 73, passed away April 19 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

He was born in Franklin County and was formerly a resident of Red Bay. He graduated from Red Bay High School in 1966 and UNA in 1970 with a degree in business. He was a building contractor and attended the Methodist Church. He had served on the Franklin County Board of Education.

Graveside services will be April 23 at 12:30 p.m. at Burnout Cemetery, Vina, with Dallas Culver officiating. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jan Northcutt Hardin; two daughters, Amy Hardin and April Lamon (Kenneth); one granddaughter, Ashton Cochran; and a sister, Betty Hardin Moore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Cheston “Chester” Hardin and Hazel Oniece Shewbart Hardin, and an infant brother, Troy Hardin.

Pallbearers will be Steven Moore, Holden McLean, Jason Pendegraph, Jason Evans, Kenneth Lamon, Steve Alexander and Larry Moore.
