Phil Campbell stays undefeated

The Phil Campbell Bobcats remain undefeated, improving to 3-0, after their win over the Elkmont Red Devils Friday night, 58-20.

The Bobcats dominated the game offensively with 428 total yards. Of those, 344 came on the ground, and 84 were through the air.

The Bobcats ran the ball by committee, led by Noah Raper with 95 yards on eight attempts and a touchdown. Bryant Hyde ran for 83 yards on five attempts and two touchdowns. Kyle Pace and Sage Raper both had 50 yards on five attempts. Isac Hill also scored a touchdown.

Phil Campbell scored five straight touchdowns and scored 34 unanswered points before Elkmont could even get on the scoreboard.

The Bobcats scored their first touchdown on a twoyard run by Hyde with 8:52 to go in the first quarter, grabbing a 6-0 lead.

Pace found Robbie Robinson in the end zone for a 21yard touchdown pass with 4:12 to go in the first, extending the lead to 12-0.

Sage Raper scored a touchdown on a threeyard rush at the start of the second quarter to give the Bobcats an 18-0 lead. He scored again, this time from 13 yards out, with 8:18 to go in the first half. Grant Rollins added the two-point conversion run to give the Bobcats a 26-0 lead.

Phil Campbell added another score with 2:57 to go in the first half when Kyle Pace found Braxton Goodson for a 63yard touchdown pass. A two-point conversion run by Samuel Swinney gave Phil Campbell a 34-0 lead.

Elkmont finally got on the board on a 68-yard touchdown pass with 2:28 to go in the half to make the score 34-6.

Phil Campbell responded quickly when Noah Raper found the end zone on a 35yard touchdown run just before the half to give the Bobcats a commanding 42-6 lead.

Phil Campbell scored two more times in the second half – a 14-yard run by Hyde and a 22-yard run by Hill.

Pace threw for 84 yards and had two touchdowns. Goodson had 63 receiving yards and one touchdown. Robinson had 21 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Phil Campbell will go on the road to Colbert County this week.
