Red Bay wins one, loses one in tournament

The Red Bay Tiger boys used a strong second quarter to get a tournament win over Kossuth, Miss., at Alcorn Central this past week.

Red Bay and Kossuth were tied 8-8 at the end of the first quarter, but the Tigers outpaced Kossuth 21-8 in the second quarter to take a 29-16 halftime lead.

Kossuth cut Red Bay’s lead to 37-29 at the end of the third quarter.

Lawson Glover took over in the fourth quarter for the Tigers, scoring 11 of Red Bay’s 14 points to secure the win.

Glover led Red Bay with 23 points. He was followed by Ethan McCoy with nine points, Holden Inmon with seven points, B.P. Blair with four points, Ty Reynolds with three points, Conner Humphries with three points and Kennedy Wileman with two points.

Red Bay lost to Lake Cormorant 58-44. Glover led with 13 points, followed by Cody Carnes with nine points.
