Hit me up with your reading suggestions

Reading more. That’s a good goal for this year, don’t you think?

Reading has long been a personal passion. Since early elementary school I have loved to lose myself in the pages of a gripping story.

Yet, despite that purported passion, I seem to have trouble making time to enjoy a good book. Some of you can surely relate.

Maybe you, like me, have enjoyed getting to peruse Lori Skinner’s reading recommendations in the Franklin County Times and in Franklin Living over the past few months. Lori is the head librarian for Northwest-Shoals Community College; I’m really thankful we connected with her and now have an authority figure who can share selected titles that might pique the interest of readers.

Several of her suggestions have made my personal “books to read” list.

That list is getting pretty long, but there’s always room for more. The best way to read more is to have a list of exciting options always at the ready.

So I wanted to toss this appeal out to a very special group of readers – you! What book has captured your interest lately? What’s a new release you just can’t wait to get your hands on? What’s a re-read you keep returning to over and over again, despite now knowing the story by heart?

If you have a reading recommendation, I’m all ears. I can’t wait to add your favorite titles to my list.
