Red Bay boys fall at regionals

The Tigers’ season came to a close with a 50-47 overtime loss to the Tanner Rattlers at the Northwest Regionals at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville Saturday.

Holden Inmon and Lawson Glover led Red Bay, both scoring in double digits. Inmon went five for nine from the field, including making three three-pointers, and going six for nine from the free-throw line to score 19 points.  Glover went seven for 11 from the field to score 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Beyond Inmon and Glover, the Tigers had trouble scoring, going three for 19 from the field. Red Bay got nine additional points from Cody Carnes and two from Ty Reynolds.

To advance to regionals, the Red Bay Tigers had little problem putting the Hatton Hornets away. Red Bay beat Hatton 62-41.

The Tigers got off to a good start, taking a 19-13 lead over the Hornets in the first quarter. Red Bay extended that lead to 31-17 by halftime and led Hatton 46-31 at the end of the third quarter.

The Tigers dropped nine three-pointers in the game.

Holden Inmon led Red Bay with 15 points, followed by Cody Carnes with 12 points. Gage Edgmon and B.P. Blair added seven points each. Ethan McCoy finished with six points and Connor Humphries three points.
