Emma Lee Carlisle Spears

Emma Lee Spears, age 79, of Russellville, passed away, April 17 following a brief illness.
Emma was a Christian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Russellville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Spears; daughter, Emma Scarlette Spears Studdard; grandchildren, Emma Cadelyn Studdard Carter (David), Greyson Studdard, Trinity Studdard; niece, Cecilia Hutcheson Madden.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Willson “Billie” Carlisle and Leila “Leona” Murray Carlisle; sister, Billie Ann Carlisle.

Visitation was held  April 22 from 12-1:00 p.m. with the funeral service directly after in Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, Ala. Interment was in Tharptown Baptist Cemetery.

Dr. Scarlette Spears Studdard and Bro. Wade Wallace officiated.

Pallbearers were Dewayne Pennington, Dr. Rizk Moutagaly, Randy Waldrep, Justin Coan, LTJG David Carter, USN, Dr. Bill Madden. Honorary pallbearers were the Ladies IV Sunday School Class.

Pinkard Funeral Home of Russellville assisted the family.
