Red Bay’s Weatherford Library gears up for summer reading program

Registration is underway at Red Bay’s Weatherford Library for this year’s summer reading program. The theme is “All Together Now,” and it will include promoting kindness, unity and friendship. Participation is free, but registration is required.

“All kinds of people are together now, and we need to be kind and friendly to each other,” explained library director Linda Ezzell.

Summer reading programs take place on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m., beginning May 30. The rest of the dates are June 6, June 13, June 20 and June 27.

“We’ll have bingo, reading time and an opportunity to check out books and do lots of fun things,” Ezzell added, “but children need to be signed up and in the system on the computer to be able to check out books before we get started.”

Programs will include a magic show, Animal Tales (up close encounter with animals), a science program and a music program.

For additional information, call 256-356-9255 or go by the library.
