RCS, FCS offer seamless summer meal programs

Russellville City Schools and Franklin County Schools are providing seamless summer meal programs for children 18 and under.  

 Russellville City Schools is offering a seamless summer meal program, Monday-Friday, through July 21. It started May 30. The Russellville Elementary School cafeteria is open from 7:15-9:00 a.m. each day for breakfast and 10:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. for lunch. They may eat breakfast and lunch in the school free of charge during the summer. Go to the circle at the back of Russellville Elementary and pick up breakfast from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for lunch, for any child under the age of 18. Franklin County Schools will provide a Seamless Summer meal program at the following Franklin County Schools: Belgreen, East Franklin, Phil Campbell, Red Bay, Tharptown and Vina. Meals through the program will be available Monday through Thursday, with breakfast from 7:30-9:30 a.m. and lunch from 10-12:00 p.m. Dates for the program are June 5-8, 12-15, 20-22, 26-29 and July 10-13 and 17-20. All meals are free and served to children ages 0-18. Students do not have to attend a Franklin County school to participate.
