Services for G.B. "Jack" Vick will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church in Kemper County with the Revs. Malcolm Lewis, Albert McMullen and Tommy Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Vick, 86, of DeKalb, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was retired from the Mississippi Highway Department and was a member and deacon of Liberty Baptist Church. He was also a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Jay Vick of DeKalb; a son, Jay Vick and his wife, Karon, of Bailey; a daughter, Jacqueline Vick Stephens and her husband, Paul, of DeKalb; a sister, Maudie Frazier and her husband, Kenneth, of the Frazier Grove community; four brothers, Thurman Vick and his wife, Mary, and Irvin Vick and his wife, Ida, all of Meridian, Earl Vick and his wife, Pauline, of Kentwood, La., and Oscar Vick and his wife, Doris, of DeKalb; and six grandchildren, Brooke, Erin and Cody Stephens, and Kyle, Jessica and Jordan Vick.
He was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers and his parents.
Visitation will be today from 2 p.m. until services at the church.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.

Graveside services for Mary Young will be held today at 3 p.m. at Mount Vernon Methodist Church Cemetery in Alabama with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Young, 79, of Meridian, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Broadmoor Healthcare Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Vaughan and her husband, Stanley, of Bailey, and Mary Lock Scardina and her husband, Jim, of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren, Morris "Jody" Peacock, Stacie Downey, Jamie Vaughan, James Vaughan, Lisa Seidl, Kevin Lock, Mary Jane Crocker and Melinda Masters; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris F. Young, and a son, Morris D. "Buddy" Young.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
HAZEL HODGE CALHOUN JOHNSON

BATESVILLE, Ark. Graveside services for Hazel Hodge Calhoun Johnson will be held today at 1 p.m. at Lindsey Cemetery in Walnut Grove, Miss., with the Rev. Dennis Wells officiating. Batesville Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson, 92, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, in Batesville. She was retired as a bookkeeper for the Meridian Public School District in Meridian. She was a native of Mobile, Ala., and a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Mountain Home.
Survivors include her husband, Emery Johnson of Batesville; a daughter, Mary Katherine Calhoun Easom Gabardt of Little Rock; her grandchildren, Chuck Easom and Brad Easom of Walnut Grove, Lisa Otto of Pasadena, Texas, Steve Easom of Oko, Okla., and Teri Jo Calhoun Cannellie of Jacksonville, Fla.; her great-grandchildren, Linden Otto, Carlio Otto and Kimberly Hazel Otto, all of Pasadena, Cody Easom and Logan Easom of Oko, Ryan Easom and Jake Easom, both of Walnut Grove.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewell L. Calhoun of Meridian; sons, William Hodge Calhoun of Meridian and Douglas Ewell Calhoun of Gainesville, Fla.; and a brother, Henry Hodge Jr. of New Orleans.
Pallbearers include Chuck Easom, Steve Easom, Brad Easom and David Otto.
SELBY L. ROBINSON
NEWTON Services for Selby L. Robinson will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Larry Laird officiating. Burial will be in Newton Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson, 80, of Newton, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, at the Mississippi Baptist Hospital in Jackson. He was a native of Newton and a retired refrigeration and maintenance employee for Ford's Ice Cream Company for 47 years. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Lou May Robinson of Newton; a daughter, Dorothy Nicholson of Nesbit; four sons, Wade Robinson of Ridgeland, Warren Robinson of Lawrence, and Tommy Robinson and Curtis Robinson, both of Brandon; a sister, Elise Robinson of Lawrence; a brother, Charlie Robinson of Brandon; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cullen and Nancy Libbs Robinson.
Pallbearers will be Scott Slater, Lee Toney, David Thames, Doug Robinson, Kenny Robinson, Trey Nicholson, Chris Robinson and Clint Robinson.
Visitation will be today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
