Lady Bobcats eliminated from playoffs

PHIL CAMPBELL – The Phil Campbell Lady Bobcats' season came to an end Friday as they lost two straight games to J.B. Pennington High School.
The Bobcats performed well defensively, but were unable to get anything going offensively as they only managed four hits in both games.
Game 1
PCHS 0, JBPHS 3
J.B. Pennington shut out Phil Campbell in the first game of the series, in a 3-0 game.
The bats were silent for both teams until early in the second when the Tigers drove in two.
The game would remain 2-0 until J.B. Pennington struck again early in the sixth, scoring the final run of the game to bring the score to 3-0.

PCHS 0, JBPHS 1
J.B. Pennington shut out Phil Campbell in the second game of the series, as they defeated the Bobcats 1-0.
The Bobcats came out swinging early in the first, but were unable to build any momentum.
The Tigers would score the only run of the game at the bottom of the second.
Melissa Russell took the loss for the Bobcats.
