Three Patriots selected for ACCC All-Conference honors

Three freshmen Northwest Shoals Community College Patriots received Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) all-conference first or second team honors.

Patriots Softball player Kennedi Clark was selected to the Division I All-Conference team. Patriots Baseball players Hayes Harrison and Ryan Strachan were selected to the Division I All-Conference second-team of the ACCC.

The ACCC announced their selections May 11 through social media and the ACCC website.

Kennedi Clark, of Killen, Ala., played center field for the Patriots this spring. As a freshman, Clark led the team indoubles and runs batted in. She finished the year with an average of .354, 33 runs batted in, one home run, 13 doubles and .457 slugging percentage.

Hayes Harrison, of Oxford, Ala., pitched and played first base for the Patriots this spring. As a freshman, Harrison finished the year with an average of .358, 27 runs batted in, three home runs, eight doubles and a .500 slugging percentage.

Ryan Strachan, of Huntsville, Ala., played first base, pitched and was the designated hitter for the Patriots this spring. As a freshman, Strachan led the team in five hitting categories, doubles, runs batted in, average, hits and on-base percentage. He finished the year with an average of .361, 48 runs batted in, five home runs, 15 doubles, .474 on-base percentage and a .542 slugging percentage.
