Billie Scott McCarley

 Billie Scott McCarley, 83, died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Generations of Red Bay. She was born in Vina, Al. and was a homemaker. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Services were Saturday, August 29, at 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, RedBay, Al. with Bro. Kevin Palmer and Bro. Nick McSpadden officiated. Burial was in BerryCemetery, Vina, Al. Deaton Funeral Home, RedBay, Al. was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are one daughter – Kathy Palmer (Phillip) Tuscumbia, Al.; one granddaughter– Christina Bohannon, Red Bay, Al.; two grandsons – Kevin Palmer (Crissy) and Brent Palmer (Ashley) all of Russellville, Al.; four great-grandchildren – Brianna Palmer, Ben Palmer, Briley Palmer and Kendale Palmer; one sister – Betty Roberts (Donald) Hamilton, Al.; three brothers – Kenneth Upton (Linda) and Jimmy Upton (Vernell) all of Hamilton, Al. and Larry Upton (Marie) Hodges, Al. and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey McCarley, her parents, Arlin Scott and Mamie Dorena “Doe” Upton and a great-granddaughter, Katelyn Palmer.

Pallbearers were Jeff Upton, Keith Upton, Ricky Upton, Jonathan Roberts, Bobby Darwin and Bobby Joe Darwin. 

Visitation was Friday, August 28, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, RedBay, Al.
