MACON Graveside services for Mabel Waddell were held Thursday at New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Landrum officiating. Cockrell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Waddell, 93, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Noxubee General Hospital.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Laffet and Amanda Ivy Waddell.

WAYNESBORO Services for Everett Doggett Jr. were held Friday at Chapparal Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Moss officiating. Burial was in Chapparal Cemetery with Freeman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Doggett, 79, of Waynesboro, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at Wayne General Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Doggett and a son, Teddy Doggett, both of Waynesboro; a daughter, Glenda Reed of Bedford, Texas; two sisters, Jenny Belle Elfring of Waynesboro and Betty Jean Rowell of Vossburg; and five grandchildren.
DENA MARIE LYNN REID
QUITMAN Graveside services for Dena Marie Lynn Reid will be held today at 11 a.m. at Rolling Creek Cemetery with the Revs. Glenn Lafferty and Larry Browning officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Infant Reid died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at University Hospital in Jackson.
Survivors include her parents, Jeff and Connie Reid, a brother, Dustin Roberts, grandparents, Ted and Sherry Hales and Doug and Beth Roberts, all of Quitman; her grandfather, Michael Combs of Demopolis, Ala.; great-grandparents, James and Dena Allen of Laurel, Lois Hales of Quitman and Dot Combs of Demopolis; great-great-grandparents, James and Katie Wood of Laurel; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Leon and Viola Norsworthy, Leon and Bobbie Hollingsworth and Pat Hailes.
MARLENE ELIZABETH MAYO MOORE
QUITMAN Services for Marlene Elizabeth Mayo Moore will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Eakes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moore, 49, of Pass Christian, died Monday, June 25, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include her husband, James Michael Moore of Pass Christian; two sons, Michael Moore and his wife, Susanne, of Brandon and Corey Moore, U.S. Air Force, Portugal; her father, Bobby Mayo, her mother, Edna Mayo and a brother, Bobby Mayo Jr., all of Quitman; and a grandchild, Brady Tower Moore of Brandon.
Visitation will be Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

NEWTON Services for Johnnie H. Foley will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Methodist Church in Jasper County, with the Revs. John West, Ray Daniels and Billy Owen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Foley, 75, of Newton, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Riley Hospital. Born in Newton County, Mr. Foley was a Methodist. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II in Iwo Jima and Pearl Harbor and was awarded two Purple Hearts.
Survivors include his wife, Jenell Stamper Foley, four sons, Louis P. Foley Sr., Johnnie W. Foley and his wife, Frances, Charles Foley and Ronnie Foley and his wife, Terry, and a sister, Ruth Jay, all of Newton; a brother, Charles Preston Foley of Morehead; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles P. and Virgie Cook Foley.
Pallbearers will be Louis Foley Jr., Ronnie Foley Jr., Brad Foley, Scott Foley, Don Stamper and Marty Stamper.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

NEWTON Services for Walter Benny Riley will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. David Airhart, Jackie Strebeck and Ray Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
Mr. Riley, 69, of Hickory, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Conva-Rest of Newton. He was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Hurst Riley of Hickory; two sons, Danny Riley of Little Rock, Ark., and Keith Riley of Meridian; two grandchildren, Lucas and Alisha Riley of Little Rock, Ark.; six brothers and sisters, Evelyn Tillman, Katherine Harris, Frances Kidd, and Edward Kittrell, all of Meridian, Earl Kittrell of Laurel and Larry Kittrell of California; several step-children and step-grandchildren; and his faithful dog, Rex.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Gertrude Riley Kittrell and Ezra Walter Riley; his step-father, Timothy Kittrell Sr. and a brother, Carlous Riley.
Pallbearers will be Dale McNair, Willie Wallace, Larry Fitzgerald, Clay Chapman, Kenneth Neese and Aaron Cooley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Austin Boggan, Albert Carr, Don Mulford, Otis Russell, James Nelson, Bob Kuehn, Clint Russell, Charles Seals, Lee Johnson, Raymond Ledlow, William Brackeen, J. Elliott McMullan, David Kerr and Bill Johnson.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
