Haley Diane McPhail of Collinsville and Patrick Reed Davis of Madison were married Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church with the Revs. Frank E. Blackwell and Toby E. Lofton officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Mark David McPhail of Collinsville, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Rushing of Madison and Dr. John Bertrand Davis of Sanibel Island, Fla.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. A.M. McPhail of Collinsville, the late Rosalyn Blanks McPhail, Eloise Blackwell of Suqualena and the late George J. Blackwell Sr.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. John Edward O'Connell of Prentiss, and Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Alton Reed of Starkville.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Tom Lowe and Pablo Saeltzer, violinists; Ben Randman, cellist; Sue Shoffiett, flautist; Zoe Ellen Brumfield, bagpiper; Twyla Hurst, Michael Smith, Megan Hoffer, soloists; and Daniel Boles, guitarist.
Scripture was read by Andrew DeLoach Rushing of Madison, step-father of the bridegroom.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a designer gown featuring a strapless bodice with an overlay of banded organza and tissue taffeta that was accented with a double row of covered buttons down the back. The skirt featured a sweep train. She wore a veil of tiers of rolled edged silk illusion.
Morgan McPhail of Collinsville, sister of the bride was maid of honor.
Other attendants were Joanna Beth Blackwell of Hoover, Ala., Christine Louise Brewer and Cooper Ruth Long, both of Jackson, Melissa Ann Estes of Meridian, Adelia Ann Luke of Hattiesburg, Nancy Catherine Naugher of West Point, Virginia Clair Sudduth, Anisa Margrett Sullivan, Megan Frances Tubb and Mollie Walker Clement, all of Starkville.
Michelle Eakes of Louin was an honorary bridesmaid. Miniature bride was Paige Elizabeth Davis of Meridian and Baleigh Alyssa Hull of Meridian served as flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Edwin Teleford Cheshire Jr., David Logan McPhail and Blair Frances Pyron, all of Jackson, Wilburn Barrett Ford and James Davis Powell, both of Oxford, Cheyne Wright Harris of Brandon, Christopher Reed Jourdan of Ridgeland, Spencer Haynes Manning of Magnolia and Gary Hayden Simons Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.
The miniature bridegroom was Tucker Gordon Davis of Jackson, brother of the bridegroom. Reed Welton Michel of Meridian, cousin of the bridegroom, served as ring bearer.
Candle lighters were Joshua McPhail Stroud of Thibodaux, La., and Brian Joseph Blackwell of Pineville, La. Memorial candles were lit in memory of George J. Blackwell, maternal grandfather of the bride; Rosalyn Blanks McPhail, paternal grandmother of the bride; and Robbie DeLoach Rushing, grandmother of the bridegroom.
Registry attendants were Margaret Samantha Moore and Sarah Elizabeth Farmer. Program attendants were Katheryne Ann Ray and Ashley Belvin.
A reception, hosted by the bride's family, was held at Montana's banquet hall following the ceremony.
Reception attendants were Constance Alexandria Hitt, Kathyrn Flurry Howell, Jenna Leigh Boyd, Amanda Joyce Williamson, Anna Hattye Dallas, Allison Rea Dallas, Beverly Ann Hitt and Connie Joyner.
Sparkler attendants were Elizabeth Courtney Lofton and Jordan Cayley Lofton.
After a honeymoon at the Moon Palace Resort in Mexico, the couple resides in Jackson.
