William Ray Barr, 52, Florence, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012.

Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, with Bro. Jeff Fleming officiating.  Interment was in Bear Creek Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Barr.

He is survived by his mother, Nell Young and husband, Harvey, Bessemer,; children, Carrie Lewis, Gardendale, Sherri Doyal, Trafford, Jaimie Vanderford, Finger, Tenn.; step-daughter, Brittney Davis, Florence; step-brother, Mike Young, Hueytown; step-sister, Pam Sinclair, Patterson, Ga.; uncles and aunts, Elbert and Nell Fortner, Jr., Kensaw, Ga., Bruce and Linda Fortner, Russellville; grandchildren, Davis Lewis, Brooke Lewis, Harley Vanderford, Carmen Vanderford, Dalton Vanderford; step-grandchildren, Briann Davis, Cooper Davis; special cousin, Ann Hewes, Mobile; a host of cousins and other relatives.
