Don’t miss remaining chances to enter coloring contest

Two weeks down, two weeks to go. This is the third week for our annual Christmas Coloring Contest, which means young artists still have this week and next to show their skills and maybe win a cool prize.

This year’s contest started with the Nov. 22 newspaper, with a festive candy cane. The Nov. 29 coloring page was an angelic messenger. This week’s page is the image of a jolly breakfast with Santa. We can’t wait for you to see next week’s, the fourth and final coloring page in the contest.

A contest isn’t a contest without prizes for the winners. A $25 Walmart gift card will be awarded to the top coloring champs in three age divisions – 6 and younger, 7-9 and 10-12. But when it comes to Christmas creativity, we want everyone to feel like a winner; so, every entrant will receive a free box of crayons and a coloring book.

All entries, along with entry forms, are due Dec. 15, and we will share the winners in the Dec. 20 edition of the Franklin County Times.

Children may enter more than once, but no photocopies will be accepted; if you need extra copies of any of the coloring pages, we have plenty at our office in the Byars Building in downtown Russellville.

No purchase is necessary to enter.

A slate of sponsors help us make this contest possible for the community each year, and we hope you will show them your thanks by patronizing their businesses this season and in the year to come.

Time’s running out. Let’s get coloring!
