Wilby Jean Smith

Wilby Jean Smith, 71, passed away Dec. 24 at her residence. She was born in Atwood to Jessie and Virgie Oliver Crouch. She worked in home health.
Services will be Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Billy Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Hill Cemetery, Vina.
She is survived by five children, Debra Bailey and husband Randy and Vera Lucas and husband Roger, both of Vina, Gwena Faye McCalpin and husband Chris of Red Bay, Huey Green and wife Judy of Houston, Texas, and Daniel Smith and wife Michelle of Belmont, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, William Christopher McCalpin II; two brothers, A.B. Crouch and Clete Crouch; and one sister, Cordelia Guyton.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Ergle, Jake Cleveland, Roger Lucas, James White and James McCalpin.
Visitation was Dec. 26, 6-9 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
