Red Bay High School hosts tomato sandwich day

Aug. 11 the Red Bay Farmers Market hosted a free Tomato Sandwich Day in conjunction with the Franklin County Extension Office.
According to Extension Director Katernia Cole-Coffey, there was a good turnout with around 100-plus people in attendance.
“It’s neat to share these different activities with the community,” Cole-Coffey said.
The Extension Office is also planning to have Peas and Cornbread Days at the local farmers markets before the summer season is over.
