Tharptown gets first win of the season at Brilliant

The Tharptown Wildcats picked up their first win of the season in a 50-22 pounding of the Brilliant Tigers.

The Wildcats dominated the first quarter of action, outscoring the Tigers 21-1 and extending their lead to 32-10 by halftime.

Shaylee Wieting led Tharptown with 14 points and five steals. Brooke Daily had a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Freshman Autumn Montgomery had seven points and five steals.

Adrianna Borden had six points. Gracie Montgomery had four points and five assists.

Aly Vandiver, Jaiden Gaston and Sarah Mansell had two points each.
