Red Bay beats rival Belmont
The Red Bay Tigers defeated state–line rival Belmont this past week 49-31.
The Tigers jumped out to an 11-2 first quarter lead and extended the lead to 22-10 at halftime.
Andrew Ray scored 10 of his game-high 12 points in the first half to lead the Tigers.
Red Bay continued the push in the second half, taking a 38-23 lead at the end of the third quarter and outscoring the Cardinals 11-8 in the fourth quarter.
Carson Corum scored all 10 of his points in the second half for Red Bay.
Lawson Glover added 11 points for the Tigers. B.P. Blair had seven points, and Cody Carnes added three points. Paden Allison, Holden Inmon and Owen Terry scored two points each.
Red Bay entered the Franklin County Tournament this week at Vina as the No. 2 seed. The Tigers will play Phil Campbell Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
