Bobbie J. White of Meridian and Calvin Burton of Livingston, Ala., were married Saturday, May 3, 2003, at East Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin L. Dixon officiating.
Parents of the couple are Yvonia W. Coleman of DeKalb and the late Hershel Murry of Maywood, Ill., and Lillie M. Burton of Livingston.
Nuptial music was provided by Wayne Whitehead, pianist; Audrey L. Dixon and Cassandra Hall, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Jimmy L. White.
She wore a sheath style gown of Italian ivory satin with a halter style neckline. The bodice, hemline and detachable chapel-length train were accented with hand sewn pearls and beads.
Mary P. McIntosh of DeKalb, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Linda F. Rush of Mobile, Ala., sister of the bride, Nikita W. Gooch of Daleville and Toccara Coleman of DeKalb, niece of the bride.
Robert Scott of Canton served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Brian Kuspa and Layton Cheshire, both of Meridian, Anthony Coleman and Kendal White, both of DeKalb, and Dewayne Coleman of York, Ala.
Favor attendants were T'Keya Coleman, Christin Peters and Aierelle Peters. Guest book attendants were Sherry Moss and Erica Coleman. Gift attendant was Sandra Irby. Assisting at the wedding was Jenifer Buford and Vivian Naylor.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Florida Lusk, Jacqueline Hartwell, Gwendolyn Graham, Vanessa Alford, Dollie Carter, Dorothy Stamps, Annie F. Ramsey, Ella Gibbs, True Vine Baptist Church members and Zeta Beta Sorority Inc. members.
The couple resides in Meridian.
