Feltenstein named REALTOR of the Year

The Meridian Board of REALTORS has chosen Cathy Feltenstein of Wilson Realty as the 2003 REALTOR of the Year.
Feltenstein has been an agent with Wilson Realty, and a member of the Board of REALTORS, since 1979.
She is an active member of First Baptist Church, a past officer and supporter of the Lamar Elementary School PTA, and treasurer and board member of Lamar School from 1992 to 1996. She has been in charge of award presentations to Relay for Life teams and is an active fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society.
She is also a past member of Junior Auxiliary and secretary/treasurer of the University of Mississippi's Meridian Rebel Club.
Feltenstein is currently serving as president of the Meridian Board of REALTORS and has taken an active role in legislative issues, both locally and at the state level. She serves as a director on the Mississippi Association of REALTORS Board of Directors, and is a state MARPAC trustee.
Feltenstein receives a plaque and a pin for the honor with the Meridian Board, and she will also be acknowledged at the Mississippi Association of REALTORS annual convention, to be held Sept. 24-28 in Biloxi.
Past recipients over the last three years were: Laurie Cobb, Pigford and Corey, 2002; Patti Carmichael, Wilson, 2001; and Boyd Williams, Boyd Williams Real Estate, 2000.
